God created evolution

No matter how hide bound by religion a person is, almost everyone accepts the idea that people are capable of change.  Whether this is self-motivated, imposed by family intervention, or poured down from heaven, change is an essential element of Christian belief.  So why the resistance to the idea of "evolution?"  What is evolution if not change?

Evolution became controversial because it can be taught outside of a religious framework.  I don't remember being taught of Divine Creation outside of Sunday School, anyway, so none of my beliefs were displaced when I learned about Darwin's observations.  In fact, it seemed to beautifully mesh with a plan (or if you will, a "Plan") that was created and then set into motion.  Kind of like a beautiful ant farm.

Some of the most educated scientists and mathmeticians readily concede that they cannot know "everything" and that there is or might be an Intelligence in the universe.
